Oven Fire Christmas Day 2013
This morning at 05:43 Station 22 was dispatched to an appliance fire, along with units from Station 23, 24, and 99, on Lynne Dr. in East Manchester Township. Upon arrival the grease fire in the oven was reported out and after our crew ventilated the structure the box was put in service. I would like to thank everyone who took the time away from their families to come out to the call. Merry Christmas from Station 22.

It's that time of year -- families and friends are gathering to celebrate the holidays. But that means there is a greater risk for fire. Following a few simple tips from NFPA that will help ensure a happy and fire-safe holiday season at your home.
Test your smoke alarms and tell guests about your home fire escape plan.
Keep children and pets away from lit candles.
Keep matches and lighters up high in a locked cabinet.
Stay in the kitchen when cooking on the stovetop.
Ask smokers to smoke outside. Remind smokers to keep their smoking materials with them so young children do not touch them.
Provide large, deep ashtrays for smokers. Wet cigarette butts with water before discarding.
12/22/13 09:26 - AFA at Pretium Packaging
Engine 22 was dispatched to an AFA at Pretium Packaging, along with Engine 23-1 and Truck 24, on Devco Dr. In East Manchester Township. After investigation by our interior crews the cause was determined to be faulty equipment.

Our Flag remains at half staff today after a hard weekend for the fire service. The loss of a brother no matter where they are from or what the condition was surrounding their passing is felt by the entire service community.

Santa is coming to town
Eagle Fire Company will be joined by Santa Claus for our annual Santa runs! Look for us in East Manchester Township on Tuesday December the 17th and Mount Wolf Borough on Thursday December the 19th ! Both runs will start at 6 PM.
