Please keep both his family and members of the fire department in your thoughts and prayers throughout this difficult time.
At Eagle Fire Company, we are serious about good GREAT chicken BBQ. We will not let rain, sleet, hail, flooding nor snow stop us from making your favorite lunch. Your hard working volunteers braved the weather to serve you up the last delicious BBQ you will have for the rest of the year. Thank you to all who also braved the weather and came out to pick some up. We did extremely well considering the weather we were having. We served over 200 meals and ran a total of 5 calls. Luckily for all there were no reported injuries from accidents and it was mostly dealing with downed electrical power lines. We will see you on Monday night for some treat or treat!
Eagle Fire Company would like to congratulate Firefighters Jason Johnson and Chuck Yingling for passing Firefighter 1 Certification at HACC this past weekend. They have both spent tens of hours preparing to take the written and hands on tests. Our 3rd firefighter Jake Bush completed and passed his hands on test and will complete his written test on November 7th. Congratulations to Jason and Chuck, Good Luck to Jake!
Eagle Fire Company now has four personnel certified to Firefighter 2 level and five personnel certified to Firefighter 1 level. We expect an additional 4 members to complete Firefighter 1 in the spring.
Eagle Fire Company once again hosted it's annual open house event. We welcomed over 150 guests who enjoyed educational programs, operating a hose line, riding on the new engine and meeting with Blaze (our mascot) who demonstrated "stop, drop, roll". We thank each and every family who came out to enjoy the night with us and see what we do.
Students from Mount Wolf Elementary School visited the firefighters of Eagle Fire Company to learn about fire safety and take a tour of the firehouse. In all we had over 300 kids complete our educational program. Eagle Fire Company is also sponsoring a coloring contest with the kids and 1st place winner from each grade will win a ride to school inside the new engine. 2nd and 3rd place winners will get to have lunch at school with several firefighters. Winners will be announced on November 3rd.
