Normally Mount Wolf Elementary students take a field trip to the Firehouse to learn about fire safety, however due to the rain, we visited them. We talked with several hundred students about fire safety. For their participation each received a fire helmet and activity book. The students also got to touch and put on real fire gear.
Otterbein Early Education Center visited the firehouse and brought 30 children over to see the different fire engines and learn about fire safety.

Eagle Fire Company held a training session today going over operations such as drafting from a static water source like the river, pumping multiple handlines and even included dumping water and hauling water from our recently delivered Tanker. This training lasted over 6 hours and is vital to ensure that every firefighter, no matter what skill level, continues improvement to ensure that we are safe, fast and efficient. We had over 14 firefighters attend this training, and flowed in excess of 60,000 gallons of water from the river and hauled 24,000 gallons of water from hydrants to practice dumping the water from the Tanker.
